Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman Thursday said the banks and financial institutions are facing challenges in attaining trust of clients due to the ongoing global recession.
“The Bangladesh Bank is going to take some steps so that the commercial banks can serve their customers with highest proficiency and satisfaction,” he said.
The economist of the country came up with the disclosure while addressing a programme of unveiling the annual report of clients’ interest protection centre of the Bangladesh Bank.
Dr Atiur said, “The central bank is also stressing on the monitoring system to protect the interest of the clients.”
He said, “The authority has made it mandatory for all banks to publish annual financial report so that the customers, investors and people concerned can get adequate and correct information.”
