The probe committee formed to investigate the recent incident of gunfight at the Sarak Bhaban has recommended preparing a 'black list' of those contractors involved with the incident.

Five people including Publicity Secretary of the Central Swechhasebak League Shamim Shahriar were bullet-hit in the violence when two factions of the ruling Awami League's volunteers front engaged in the brawl.

Two contrators filed two cases following the incident naming 10 activists of Swecchhasebak League, youth front Juba League and Workers Union.

Police arrested the Vice President of the Sarak-O-Janapad Department's Workers' Union Fazlur Rahman Fazlu, 55, and its General Secretary Kamal Uddin Khandaker, 48, and one Abdul Kalam Azad in this connection.

"We have placed six recommendations to stop such unwanted incidents," Ali said.

"We have proposed making of a blacklist of the contractors who were involved in the Jun 12 incident. We also recommended bringing the department's Dhaka-zone under electronic tender system," he added.
