DHAKA: Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) observed the 41st death anniversary of martyred Flight Lieutenant Bir Shrestha Matiur Rahman with due solemnity on Monday.
To mark the day, milad mahfil was held after prayers of Eid-ul-Fitr at the central mosque of all BAF bases with special prayers and sought divine blessing for the departed soul, said a press release of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Wednesday.
Officers and members of all ranks of the BAF were present on the occasion.
The release added, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (admin) Air vice Marshal Masihuzzamaman visited the grave of Matiur Rahman at the Mirpur Martyred Intellectual Graveyard and offered special prayer with seeking peace for the departed soul. Matiur Rahman`s wife Milee Rahman was present there.
