DHAKA: In the latest development in the police administration, some 146 high officials of Bangladesh Police have been promoted.
The home ministry issued an order in this regard on Thursday afternoon.
A total of 20 police officials were promoted to additional deputy inspector general of police, some 42 officials of additional superintendent rank were promoted to SP while 84 senior assistant police super to additional police super.
Those who were made Addi-DIG are-S M Hafizur Rahman, Additional DIG of the Criminal Investigation Department, Md Zahirul Islam Bhuiyan, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of the Police Headquarters, Md Lokman Hakim, Director of the Anti- Corruption Commission, Md Rafiqul Islam, Addi-DIG of the Security and Protection Battalion, Awrangajeb Mahbub, Additional Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), S M Ruhul Amin, Special Superintendent (SS) of CID police, Mallick Fakhrul Islam,AIG of the Police Headquarters, Md Mizanur Rahman, SP of Dhaka, Md Kamrul Ahsan, SP of Jessore, Md Majaharul Islam, SS of the Special Branch (SB), Mahbub Hakim, SS of the SB, Khandkar Golam Faruk, SS of the SB, Didar Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the KMP, Z A Morshed, SP of Chittagong, Jamil Ahmed, SP of Brahmanbaria, Md Atiqul Islam, AIG of the Police Headquarters, Md Alamgir Alam, AIG of the Police Headquarters, M Khurshid Hossain, DC of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Abdullah Al Mahmud, SS of the CID and Md Shafiqul Islam, AIG of the Police Headquarters.
