Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Talks With The Family Members of Missing BNP Leader M Ilias Ali

Tahsina Rushdir Luna, wife of missing BNP leader M Ilias Ali, expressed optimism about getting back her husband alive after meeting the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday.

“I am hopeful, pray for us,” Luna told reporters emerging from the meeting at the prime minister’s official residence Gono Bhaban in the capital.

Mahbubul Haque Shakil, the premier’s special assistant (press) said the PM has asked the law enforcement agencies to put highest effort to trace the missing BNP leader as soon as possible.

Earlier at about 6:30pm, Luna reached the Gono Bhaban along with her three children to meet the prime minister.

BNP Organising Secretary M Ilias Ali, 51, also a former lawmaker from Sylhet, and his driver Ansar Ali went missing from the capital's Banani area around midnight on April 17.


The car was found abandoned near Amtali of Banani with all its four doors wide open
