Indian Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead a Bangladeshi along Boiragi Para border in Phulbari upazila early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Naser Ali, 40, son of Bodai Mia of Choto Moichanda village in same upazila.
BGB sources said several Bangladeshis tried to enter into India through Boiragi Para border when BSF jawans of Darajpur camp fired shots at them, leaving Naser dead on the spot at about 4:30am.
Other Bangladeshis escaped unhurt.
Later, the BSF members took away the body to their land.
