AL to lose deposit money in next polls: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir,Bangladesh

THAKURGAON: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fears to restore the caretaker government system as she knows that the grand alliance will lose deposit money if the next national election is held under the caretaker government.

The BNP leader came up with the observation while addressing a rally organized by Pirganj Upazila BNP at Old Hospital ground of the town on Wednesday noon.

JP Chairman HM Ershad will never go to power alone if he tries the rest of his life, Fakhrul challenged.

He urged the JP Chief to join with BNP from coming out of the failed grand-alliance.

The corruption of the ruling government is known to all worldwide. Under the circumstances, the World Bank has stopped providing aid to the country, the BNP leader claimed.

The government is trying to interrupt the BNP-led movement against the killing, disappearing incidents, filing false cases, he made further allegation.

With Pirganj Upazila unit BNP president Zahidur Rahman Zahid in the chair, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by BNP executive committee member and former MP Z Mortaza Tula, district general secretary Taimur Rahman and joint general secretary Obaidullah Masud.
