Royals humble Kings

Dhaka, Feb 25 Sylhet Royals won Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 match against Chittagong Kings on Saturday by 35 runs.

Peter Trego of the Royals scored highest 68 off 53 balls with the help of seven boundaries, while Kamran assisted him well with 53 off 37 balls.

Trego bowled four overs and picked a wicket giving 20 runs.

Kevon Cooper, Dwayne Bravo and Farhad Reza claimed one wicket each for the Kings at the local Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

Kings' Mahmudullah scored 30, Ziaur Rahman 40, Nasir Jamshed 27 and Brendan Taylor 10. They were the batsmen who scored in the double digit.

Sylhet Royals were able to post a total of 165 runs losing three wickets after the stipulated 20 overs in the first innings.

Chittagong Kings won the toss and invited the Royals to bat first.

The Kings are in the second position in the table with 10 points winning five matches out of nine in the league so far, while Sylhet Royals are at the bottom of the chart bagging only two wins out of the nine they have played.
