CHITTAGONG: A portion of gypsum-laden lighter ship capsized in external anchor of the Chittagong Port due to rough weather on Thursday night.
In the accident, some 11 crews of the ship went missing.
Secretary of the port Syed Farhad Uddin confirmed
He said, “The ship named MV Chittagong capsized at the Alfa Anchorage point of the external anchor.”
Meanwhile, three ships of the port and Coast Guard started to rescue the capsized ship, said a spot account of the incident.
