Communications Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday urged Awami League
leaders to refrain from making unnecessary comments over Padma bridge
project.
The minister said that he is also not interested in talking on the issue before the construction work of the bridge begins.
Quader was addressing AL leaders and activists at the Feni Circuit House,
The
minister also expressed optimism saying the construction work of the
bridge will begin within the tenure of this government. "There is no way
to regress," the minister said.
He said the bridge would undoubtedly be built either by World Bank fund or other sources.
Quader also urged the local leaders and activists to prepare themselves for the next general elections.
The polls can be held earlier, if the prime minister wants, he said.
Quader
said mass people will not support the opposition party, if the
government could satisfy people maintaining law and order, prices of the
essentials, electricity and communications.
