Awami League advisory council member and minister without portfolio Suranjit Sengupta Wednesday alleged Bangabandhu killing trial remained delayed for seven years on former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s direction.
The AL leader came up with the allegation while addressing at a discussion organized by Bangabandhu Academy at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) of the city.
“Khaleda Zia tried to halt the trial of Bangabandhu’s killers exercising power during the four-party led government. But, AL has accomplished the trial,” said Suranjit.
